The Master of Theological Studies degree may be earned in two years of full-time study. This degree is appropriate for those who may not anticipate a church vocation, but who wish to engage in the disciplined study of theology with a concentration in a specific area.

Admission to the Master of Theological Studies (M.T.S.) degree program is based on evidence of ability to undertake satisfactory graduate work. In addition to the general requirements for all students, specific requirements for admission include:

  1. A Bachelor of Arts degree, or the equivalent, from an accredited college or university.
  2. Letters of reference attesting to academic ability and personal qualifications.
  3. An autobiographical statement of purpose and vocational intent.

Advising Procedures. In addition to the advisor of the M.T.S. program, who will work with the student in designing an individual program of instruction, each entering student will be assigned a faculty advisor for purposes of I-Group participation.
