    T.A. Kantonen Lecturer: Elsa Tamez
    , a Liberation Theologian. Born in Mexico in 1950, Dr. Tamez is on the faculty of the Latin American Biblical University in Costa Rica, and a member of the team of researchers of the Ecumenical Department of Investigation (DEI) in Costa Rica. Her published work includes The Bible of the Oppressed, The Scandalous Message of James, The Amnesty of Grace, When the Horizons Close: Rereading Ecclesiastes, and Jesús and Courageous Women.
