Audio Visual Services
AV Equipment. The following equipment is available for three
day circulation to TLS and BHS students, faculty, and staff: MP3
digital and audiocassette recorders/players; portable screens; and
slide projectors.
Audio and Video Duplication. The AV staff will duplicate
CD, DVD, and VHS media for TLS and BHS people on a time-available
basis. Inquire at the Audio Visual Services office (Library 156)
or at av@trinitylutheranseminary.edu for current procedures and
fees.
Classroom/Meeting Use. Video or audio recording and playing
for classroom and seminary events may be arranged with the AV staff.
Advance notice is required. If a room is requested for an event,
please fill out a form provided by Laura Peterson, Director of Facilities
Management.
Student Computer Lab / Computer Use
Hamma Library provides computers for student use. The Student Computer
Lab hours are the same as for the library. The lab computers are
available on a first-come, first-served basis. The lab can be reserved
for group/class instruction. To make a reservation, contact Ray
Olson at ext. 4640 or av@trinitylutheranseminary.edu
Other computers (located in lobby and on upper floors) are available
for checking e-mail, word processing and internet searching. A printer
networked with the lobby computers is located at the Circulation/Information
Desk. Use of the printer is free for TLS and BHS community members.
All others are asked to pay 5 cents per page for printing.
Other Library Services
Curriculum Center. Church school curricula and other Christian
education materials are available in the Center, located on the
second floor. Use of most materials is restricted to the room. Some
materials may be borrowed with permission (see Circulation/Information
Desk).
Library Conference Room. This second floor room is available
on a first-come, first-served basis.
Interlibrary Loan. Students, faculty, and staff may submit
requests at the Circulation/Information Desk for books or periodical
articles from libraries outside OhioLINK. Hamma Library reserves
the right to limit such requests or to require reimbursement for
costs incurred.
Microform Reader/Printer. The library has the equipment
to produce paper copies from microfiche and microfilm. The cost
is 10 cents per copy. Ask at the Circulation/Information Desk for
assistance.
Newspaper/Casual Reading Area. This area, located just inside
the library, contains newspapers and general interest periodicals
(primarily secular publications) providing current news and information.
Back issues of most are not kept.
New Materials. Newly acquired items are displayed for a
two-week period on the New Materials Shelf located near the Circulation/Information
Desk.
Photocopy Service. Library users may make their own copies
at 10 cents a copy. Coins, one- and five-dollar bills are accepted.
A stapler, paper punch, paper cutter, pencil sharpener and paper
clips are available for public use.
Reference Service. Reference assistance is available during
weekday hours to help with any questions you have when using the
library or doing research. Please stop by the Circulation/Information
Desk for further information.
